RUSSELL LEE NICHOLSON
Russell Lee Nicholson provides comprehensive project management and consulting expertise in
the areas of organizational needs assessment, strategy, training design,
workshop facilitation and marketing. She has been with Global OD Solutions since 2004, serving as a core diversity
trainer with M&T Bank’s Retail Banking and Technology and Banking
Operations divisions.
Russell’s other diversity clients have included Mellon Financial Corporation, Bayer
Corporation, MECA/Panasonic, Coopers & Lybrand, Amtrak, Ford Motor Company,
The Federal Reserve Bank, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Caterpillar, Coca-Cola
Bottling Co., McDonald's Corporation, Northern Trust., Northwestern Memorial
Hospital, Owens-Corning and St. James Hospital System.
Prior to working as a Consultant in the Harbridge House Division of Coopers &
Lybrand from 1993 to 1995, Russell served two years as training manager at
INROADS/Chicago, Inc., a national nonprofit organization that works with
Fortune 500 corporations to provide career development and internships for
talented students of color. At INROADS, she coordinated the competency-based training and development program for 250
collge interns, managed its pre-college component for 100 high school students
and expanded a diverse portfolio of corporate sponsors.
Previously, she acted as client liaison to a leading packaged goods firm at DDB Needham
Worldwide Advertising and worked in corporate banking at several banks. Russell holds an M.M. degree in Marketing and
Public & Nonprofit Management from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where she
participated in the accelerated Four Quarter graduate program in 1988-89. She earned a B.B.A. degree in Finance from
Loyola University of Chicago in May 1983.
