ANDREA CISCO

Andrea L. Cisco has extensive experience consulting in the corporate, non-profit,
educational and community arenas. Her corporate
clients include Sony Music Entertainment, Polygram Records and Motion Pictures,
JPMorgan Chase Bank, M&T Bank, Kenneth Cole, and the New York Stock
Exchange, among others.She works with
clients to help them meet the challenges of today's ever-changing workforce and
marketplace, consulting in the US as well as Canada, the United Kingdom and
Australia.
While completing her graduate work in Education at Long Island University, Ms. Cisco
decided to focus on adult education. As Assistant to the Dean of Continuing Education at Medgar Evers College,
she coordinated a special consortium program with St. Francis College which helped adult learners re-enter
the academic arena. She designed curricula, recruited participants and taught
the Women’s Rights course. She remained at St. Francis College for ten years as an Adjunct
Professor in the Professional Studies Program, teaching courses such as
Personnel Administration and Problem-Solving Techniques in the Workplace. During
that time, she also counseled health care professionals seeking to obtain a
four-year degree. While at St. Francis College, Andrea was also Director of
TeenAid, an educational and social services program for pregnant teens.
Next, she joined the New York Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a business lobbying and advocacy organization, as Personnel Director
and liaison to the affiliated Private Industry Council (PIC). In that role, she administered the human
resources function for Chamber as well as the PIC. She was also responsible for consulting with
Chamber members on issues relevant to the business community. Her liaison role with the Private Industry
Council included training and training design, and helped develop job prospects
for the underserved.
Ms. Cisco moved on to Towers Perrin, a premier global consulting firm, where she joined the Workforce Change
Practice as a Senior Consultant. She helped develop and refine the methodologies used in consulting projects as they
grew to include not only diversity, but also work/life, sexual harassment and
career development strategies. In that role, she designed and delivered training programs; conducted benchmarking
studies and turnover analyses. She recruited and trained junior consultants as well as a large contingent of
affiliated independent consultants. In addition, she was the Engagement Manager and Project Director for several
large-scale clients.
Currently, Ms. Cisco serves on the boards of the MAMA Foundation for the Arts and Harlem: Legacy 2000. Ms. Cisco was a Board member of The
US Women’s Chamber of Commerce and chaired the NY Chapter’s Diversity
Council. She has been also a guest producer on community radio, and served as advisor to a coalition of
faith-based organizations seeking to address institutionalized racism in Harlem and its adjacent communities.
